About Me

My photo

Change. I've learned to embrace it, ride it out til the end. Sometimes I'm kicking and screaming, other times weeping with my eyes clinched tight. Once in awhile I ride like a dog in a car, head out the window snorting what life has to offer. Mother to young adult children, a marriage of thirty years, and a desert to mountain to valley waltz with God have shaped me into someone I never imagined I'd be. Life is short and I want to live it. Tears, sighs, laughter and change. Every morsel granted to me. Scrambled, shaken or stirred.

Scribbles and Scrambles ~ Today I Will....

There is no security on this earth, there is only opportunity.

Douglas MacArthur

What will you do with your opportunities today?

Will you take the opportunity to love? Opportunity to pray? The option of forgiving or looking for the good in a person who has hurt you? There are no promises of tomorrow. We all have an expiration date.

"We all have an expiration date." Always a good thing to be reminded of...Live in Light of Death.

e.m.b. you always add elegance to my posts. Maybe I should just ask you for a handful of your thoughts and post those as words to live by.

Oh my...your words humble me, Kelly...but my thoughts are nothing to live by. Elegant? Perhaps. But, so are high-heels, and we all know how wobbly those can be! (Or, maybe that's just me!) ;)

Well said.

I'm a testament to the pure gracelessness of some women in heels.

I prefer any flashes of unexpected and not likely to be repeated elegance to occur whilst I am wearing flats.
