I have been seeing these Asian heritage books around. Being Asian, I was and am so happy because growing up I didn't come across many Asian writers or writers about Asia. These new novels represent a shift of sorts and I would love to read and review these books!

This set of books allows one to enter and learn about if only for a brief moment a culture that he or she may not be part of. Reading them to my students and including them in their library would certainly be an enriching experience for them.

I have an interest in Asian writings since touring Japan for three weeks as a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholar. It is hoped that I can win a set of these books, and bring back memories of one of the greatest ad ventures in my life.
