Scribbles and Scrambles ~ So I Found PicMonkey

And since monkeys and bunnies are both mammals, it stands to reason this is a relationship that is a perfect fit. Ha. Ha.

The bunnies, Mr. Darcy (or his less than stellar "friend," the jury is still out) and Elizabeth Bennett Bunny have lived with us for just over a month. The babies are slightly over two weeks old.

Here is a little overview of how fast this whole thing has happened.

These pictures were taken from the day after birth to day 11.

And these pictures are days 13 and 14.

Crazy, huh?

Scraps and Snippets ~ Veggie Drawer Mix and Match

Our bounty from the farm gives up plenty of guilt if we don't use it. And plenty of creativity when we need to use it... to avoid the guilt.

We have discovered that a mix or mish-mash of veggies, a few seeds or nuts, and a few splashes of vinegar make for some very satisfying stir fry meals.

Garden Veggie Medley

Serves 3 or 4

Chop the veggies you have on hand.

Night one we used

five going soft potatoes.
A handful of mushrooms
1/2 an onion (I'm actually humming 12 Days of Christmas as I type this. Just thought I should share that.)
1 Clove of garlic
1 small beet
Five leaves of swiss chard
a handful of peas
2 teaspoons of sesame oil
2TBSP rice vinegar
2 TBSP sesame seeds

Chop all the veggies
Heat up the oil. When the pan is nice and hot, toss in the garlic, onion and potatoes. Get em nice and crispy. Then add the mushrooms, broccoli and cook til tender to your taste buds. Toss in 2 TBSP of vinegar and the swiss chard bits. Finally add the sesame seeds and serve it up.

Veggie Drawer Serendipity

A golden turnip
1/2 a head of cauliflower
The rest of the peas, shelled
1/2 cup of chopped almonds
And broccoli
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 TBSP rice vinegar
2 TBSP sesame seeds

Follow the same instructions. Caramelize the turnips and cauliflower, then add the rest and heat til the veggies are the tenderness level you want.

Good eats.

Scribbles and Scrambles ~ I Just Can't Stop. They Are TOO CUTE...

average sized carrot. Mama bunny is average sized, too.

oh, it smells good.

don't know if anyone actually got a mouthful, but they are practicing.

(the shoe is a size 9). Hmmm wonder if toes taste good?

and the back door mud area is so not pretty. ignore the dog hair and other unsavories.

I'm sorry. I just can't help it. Tuesday and Wednesday, Day 10 and 11 of bunnies taking over our world, they suddenly changed from sweet, furry lumps into animated miniature bunnies. I just can't resist sharing these pictures with you. And there will be some videos next week. Sigh. I'm obsessed. We all are.

So, forgive me. And enjoy the cutest things you may ever, ever see.

Scribbles and Scrambles ~ A Wee Bit of Bunny Lovin Cuteness

Look at me. I be a big bunny.

It is a rough job to grow so fast. Really rough.
 10 Days.

There are eyeballs peeking out. And suddenly, overnight, these little buggers are acting like bunnies.

These teeny, tiny, miniature bunnies. They sit and sleep (sometimes) in the bunny pose instead of all sprawled out.

Not all six eyes are open to the world, but they will be by the time you read this.

Ha.Ha. Hop, Skip and Jump.
Unbelievable this bizarre miracle of life.

Peekie, Peekie.
One of my friends keeps saying. "Seriously, look what God can do in 28 days. You can't plant a tomato seed and get tomatoes in 28 days."

Amazing. And, in case I haven't said this enough. STINKING CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm a big shot. I hang with the grown-ups.
